2023 Côtes-du-Rhône “La Papesse”
Domaine Gramenon
Gramenon’s cuvées, a product of biodynamic farming and careful natural winemaking, demonstrate the purity and finesse old-vine Grenache can achieve from the southern Rhône's most exciting terroirs. La Papesse is crafted from sixty-year-old vines high on a rocky plateau in the commune of Vinsobres, where elevation and abundant limestone combine to give taut, high-toned wines with delicate floral aromas and stimulating mineral freshness.

2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape “Télégramme”
France | Southern Rhône
If Télégramme is more about fruit than stones, it is still undeniably Châteauneuf.
2024 Vacqueyras Rouge “Azalaïs”
France | Southern Rhône
The flavors are mostly deep and dark—stones, licorice, black olive, and blackberry—but the frame is lithe.
2024 Côtes-du-Rhône “L’Emouvante”
France | Southern Rhône
Deep, concentrated, and refreshingly saline, this is like great Cornas with Mediterranean influences.

An abundance of violets and velvet, amid a cooling sensation of a cold spring on a hot day.

Another delectable wine from the Brunier family, with a complex mouth-feel that finishes with refreshing acidity.
2025 Côtes-du-Rhône “Poignée de Raisins”

If there were a Hall of Fame for French bistro reds, Poignée would be a first-ballot inductee—vibrant and classy, it’s the southern France counterpart to our favorite Morgons.
2025 Côtes-du-Rhône “Sierra du Sud”
France | Southern Rhône
A pure Syrah bottling offering wild flavors of the Provençal countryside gently wrapped in a thick coat of tooth-staining deep purple fruit.

When buying red Burgundy, I think we should remember:
1. Big wines do not age better than light wine.
2. A so-called great vintage at the outset does not guarantee a great vintage for the duration.
3. A so-called off vintage at the outset does not mean the wines do not have a brilliant future ahead of them.
4. Red Burgundy should not taste like Guigal Côte-Rôtie, even if most wine writers wish it would.
5. Don’t follow leaders; watch yer parking meters.
